Does Slime From Snails Really Work As A Beautifying Skin Product

You may or may not have heard of the snail-slime trend involving the use of snail-slime as a skin care product. This trend is increasing dramatically in popularity. The demand for snail-slime as a skin care agent has caused a three hundred and twenty five percent increase in snail farming over the last two decades. In just the last ten months the cosmetics industry has seen a forty six percent increase in snail slime demand.

Snail-slime has been used to beautify human skin since the times of the ancient Greeks. The Greeks took snails and crushed them into an ointment that they could rub onto their faces. During more recent times snail-slime has been marketed for its alleged effectiveness at treating acne and reducing wrinkles.

Some spas around the world allow for customers to choose to have snails crawl around on their faces for their skin-care effects. There are also cosmetic products within some stores that contain pure mollusk-slime. Whatever works, I guess.

Have you ever tried applying snail slime to your face for skin care purposes?
